The Delta Kilo Project was started in September of 2000. Dustin Narfason and Kyle Mann started building the sim in November 2000. The sim will be a full size, stationary, fully enclosed, A320 flight simulator. The sim will be used to fly flights for a Virtual Airline (maybe) and mostly pleasure flights. The sim started off being an idea in Dustin Narfason's head after he found Kevin Sakers sim on Flightsim.com. It wasnt until about a year later that Dustin told Kyle about his idea to build the flight sim. Kyle loved the idea and both began scouring the internet for dimensions for different flightdecks. They eventually stumbled on Robert Pranthers 777 flightsim and decided to build the sim as a 777. But then they changed their minds when they saw the A320 cockpit and Peter Cos's sim They then found lots of info on the A320 from Peter Cos's A320 project site. The construction started in November and the construction should be done by 2002 hopefully (we all know all projects have setbacks). |
